沈勤 （1958—）生于南京，国家一级美术师。1978年考入江苏省国画院中国画研究班。1982年参加《毕业画展》，因其作品的独特风格，同年应南京艺术学院中国画毕业班邀请在该校举办第一次个人画展。1984年参加《前进中的中国青年美展》获优秀奖。1985年 组织并参加《江苏青年艺术周》活动。85时期因其绘画创作的突出表现，与谷文达一起被誉为水墨革新的代表。1986年参加《江苏十人中央美院邀请展》，北京。1986年参加《红色旅—第一驿》画展，南京。1987年参加《第二驿》画展，南京。1989年参加《“89”中国现代艺术展》，北京。1990年参加《中国现代水墨展》，日本。1991年《沈勤画展》，广州美院，画廊。1992年参加《后‘89’中国现代艺术展》，香港，汉雅轩；《沈勤水彩画展》，日本，名古屋。1994年参加《抽象绘画联展》，香港，汉雅轩。1998年《沈勤画展》，南京，品阁画廊。2001年参加《实验水墨20年》，广州。2002年《世的界—沈勤个人作品展》，杭州，金彩画廊。2003年赴加拿大大不列颠哥伦比亚大学讲学；《沈勤水墨画展》加拿大 W画廊。2004年《沈勤画展》加拿大精艺轩。2005年参加《NO·没关系》画展，南京。^_^Shen Qin（1958—）Class A national artist. He enrolled in the Chinese Painting Graduate Class of the Chinese Painting Institute of Jiangsu Province in 1978. In 1982， he participated in the graduation exhibition. Because of his unique style，in the same year， he was invited by the Chinese Painting Graduate Class of the Nanjing Art College to hold his first solo exhibition there. In 1984，he participated in the exhibition themed “Chinese Youth in Progress” and received the “Award of Excellence”. In 1985， he organized and participated in “Youth Art Week of Jiangsu”. Due to his outstanding performance as a painter， together with Gu Wenda，he was regarded as a pioneer in the revolution of the water and ink painting. In 1986，he participated in the group exhibition of ten Jiangsu painters in the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. In the same year，he also participated in the exhibition themed “Red Journey- the First Station” in Nanjing and another exhibition themed “the Second Station” in Nanjing next year. In the next few years， he also participated in the following exhibitions: “89’Modern Chinese Art Exhibition” in Beijing in 1989; “Chinese Modern Water and Ink Painting Exhibition” in Japan in 1990; “Exhibition of Shen Qin” in the gallery of Art Academy of Guangzhou in 1991; “Post 89’Modern Chinese Art Exhibition” in Hanart （Hong Kong） Gallery in 1992; “Watercolor Painting Exhibition of Shen Qin” in Nagoya in Japan in 1992; “Joint Exhibition of Abstract Painting” in Hanart （Hong Kong） Gallery in 1994; “Exhibition of Shen Qin” in Pinge Gallery in Nan Jing in 1998; “Experimental Water and Ink in the Past Two Decades” in Guangzhou in 2001; “Solo Exhibition of Shen Qin” in Jincai Gallery in Hangzhou in 2002; “Shen Qin Water and Ink Painting Exhibition” in W Gallery in Canada in 2003 when he lectured in the University of British Columbia; “Exhibition of Shen Qin” in Art Beatus Gallery in Canada in 2004; and “No - It doesn't Matter” Exhibition in Nanjing in 2005. （Lot 217）
